Between Gallstones and Ulcer: Getting it Right

Hits: 245

Every year, over 1 million Americans are diagnosed with gallstones, adding to the already existing figure of about 20 million sufferers. About 500,000 people a year have gallbladder surgery, in which the organ is removed. This is the most effective remedy offered by conventional medicine. However, findings have revealed that about 85% of these surgeries are unnecessary especially with an early and accurate diagnosis. Patients can actually achieve the same result (getting rid of the pains and risk of damage to the gallbladder, liver and pancreas) with simple, safe and proven natural remedies in just 5-6 days.

Gallstone is a disease of the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a small, pear-shaped organ located behind the liver on the right side of the abdomen. Primarily, the gallbladder stores bile, a liquid produced by the liver for digesting fats. Gallbladder stones are crystal-like stones formed when bile becomes too concentrated while sitting in the gallbladder. Gallstones can range from smaller than a grain of sand to larger than a golf ball, and there can be a single stone or thousands of them in a patient. Eighty percent of gallstones are made up of hardened cholesterol that develops from excess cholesterol in the gallstones, the other twenty percent are from calcium salts and a high level of bilirubin.

Individuals who are overweight are at higher risk of developing gallstones than those who are lean. In fact, for every pound of fat in your body, you produce 10 milligrams of cholesterol. Sedentary lifestyle marked by excessive intake of dairy foods, hydrogenated oils, meats, junks refined sugars and high-fat diet can increase your chance of developing gallstones. Liver diseases, diabetes, certain forms of anaemia are other risk factors of gallstones. Also, people older than 60 years of age and women are generally more vulnerable to developing gallstones than their male counterparts.

Many people develop gallstones and never become aware of it. But when gallstones obstruct the bile duct, symptoms manifest. Typical symptoms include sudden onset of steady, severe pain especially in the right side of the abdomen often radiating to the back, nausea or vomiting, bloating, clay-coloured stools, dark urine, low appetite, low-grade fever, chills, pain with breathing and elevated cholesterol level. The symptoms of gallstone are often mistaken for that of any of gastritis, indigestion, peptic ulcer and acid reflux. In fact, gallstones are often misdiagnosed for ulcer and patients are made to take a wide range of antacids with no improvements at all. Pains and sometimes vomiting may occur on an empty stomach. Gallstone pain is not affected by any class of food or medication unlike the case of ulcer. It may also begin at any time of the day or night and can last between 30 minutes and several hours. Thus, there is the need to think twice before wasting your hard-earned income on the wrong treatment. A plethora of evidence has shown that some patients spend years treating peptic ulcer while in reality, their health issue is simply gallbladder stone. If left untreated, gallstones can aggravate to gallbladder cancer, inflammation of the gallbladder or blockage of the pancreatic duct and common bile duct.

As stated earlier, early diagnosis and prompt treatment can save a lot of cash and prevent complications. Patients may require surgery in emergency situations wherein emergency situations when a gallbladder duct is blocked. Gallbladder surgery called Cholecystectomy can cause years of discomfort, including nausea and diarrhoea. It can increase the risk of bowel cancer, and also the level of cholesterol in the blood post-surgery may skyrocket.

As stated earlier, a unique natural medicine treatment that has stood the test of time over centuries exist to safely get rid of the stones. Vantage Cure Holistic Therapy offers such effective treatment at an affordable fee.
